Qualifiaction Assessment Center in Petrozavodsk

AEM-Technologies established the first Qualification Assessment Center (QAC) in mechanical engineering in the Northwestern Federal District. The QAC performs an independent qualification assessment for compliance with the mechanical engineering skills standard. A decision regarding empowering Petrozavodskmash to perform an independent qualification assessment in the stated QAC business area was made by the Council for Vocational Qualifications (CVQ) in mechanical engineering. Business area of Petrozavodskmash QAC includes the following vocational qualifications in machine engineering: turner, miller, borer, planer, grinder, vertical lathe and general machine operators, mechanical assembly quality controller, heat treater, and heat treatment supervisor. To perform assessment, 16 technical experts and 3 qualifiaction assessment experts were selected from Petrozavodskmash employees – the main highly skilled workers and engineers – and certified to administer the exams. The assessment can be provided not only for Petrozavodskmash employees, but also for graduates from various educational institutions and applicants of different Russian companies.
